Vintage lion head belt buckle gold tone hook closure Italian Neo Renaissance

gorgeous, highly detailed Italian Neo-renaissance style belt buckle. The lion heads are nicely rendered and have inset faceted pink eyes. The buckle is fairly heavy, but it does not have a maker's mark. It would make a nice addition to a fancy, Dynasty inspired dress or could be repurposed for crafting. :) The buckle measures about 3 3/8 x 1 7/8 and it would comfortably accommodate a belt 1 1/4 in width. Structurally, this buckle is in good vintage condition, but there is some noticeable surface wear. Please look carefully at the images. Priced accordingly.
