The item is a vintage Mission Dry Sparkling Soda bottle from the 1920s-1930s. It is made of opaque black glass and held 12 oz of soda. Pontil bottom, it measures 9 1/2 inches tall with a 2 1/2 inch diameter base, tapering to a 1-inch diameter top. These bottles were used for Mission Dry's Sparkling Orange soda, starting during Prohibition. The black glass was distinctive and used during the first three years of the company's 50-year history.
